Take It All

The film is set in Montreal in the early sixties. At the centre of the account is a man. His circle is made up of young intellectuals. Gatherings, talk and parties fill that circle. The man is in a relationship with a woman. She is Black and the two of them come from different worlds. The relationship is talked about around them. The man is questioning his own life as well. He is not sure about the choices he has made. His own sexuality is part of that questioning. He finds it hard to admit to himself that he is drawn to men. The account moves as though it were a diary. Claude Jutra and Johanne Harelle take the leads, and Jutra directed the film himself. The Canadian and French coproduction was finished in 1963.
