Taxi Blues

Marko once tried to write screenplays, could not make it work, and has been driving a taxi for a long time. The film follows a single night of his; every passenger who gets in brings a new story and a new piece of trouble. As the night goes on, things he had not thought about in his own life come out as well. The account moves as comedy, but there is a disappointment underneath it: the man is still carrying other people’s stories. The city at night works almost as a character of its own; as the hours pass, the troubles of the people getting into the car change with them. Andrija Milosevic plays the lead in Miroslav Stamatov’s ninety five minute Serbian film, completed in 2019.
