The Angrez

The film is set in Hyderabad. Pranai and Rochak are two Indians living abroad. They come back to the city from America. They are to take jobs at a friend’s technology company. They think of settling in the city. The way they speak is far from the local dialect. Their manner and their habits differ too. That is why they are called the Angrez. On the street they brush against a local strongman. Ismail remembers an old score with them. He gathers his men and goes after them. The chase runs through the old quarters of the city. The film speaks in the Hyderabad dialect. Its humour is built on that speech. The life brought by the technology business enters the story as well. Aziz Naser and Mast Ali appear in the one hundred ten minute film, an Indian production Kuntaa Nikkil finished in 2006.
