The Animation Show, Volume 1

This is a compilation of short films. Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt put the selection together. The films come from many parts of the world. Among them is Koji Yamamura’s Atama Yama. Three shorts by Adam Elliot are in the selection too. Parking by Bill Plympton is included. Tomek Baginski’s Katedra is there as well. Das Rad by Chris Stenner and Heidi Wittlinger is in the programme. Hertzfeldt’s Billy’s Balloon is shown too. Between the films Hertzfeldt placed pieces of his own. Early experiments by Judge have been added as well. The techniques change from film to film. The hundred and two minute compilation is listed as animation. Don Hertzfeldt and Mike Judge put it together, an American production of 2003.
