The Bluff

A retired pirate lives quietly on a small Caribbean island, hiding her past from her family. When a crew of buccaneers led by an old enemy arrives to collect the bounty on her head, she is caught between revealing who she is and losing them. Frank E. Flowers directed and co-wrote with Joe Ballarini. Priyanka Chopra Jonas leads, opposite Karl Urban, with Ismael Cruz Cordova, Safia Oakley-Green and Temuera Morrison. Three companies sit behind it: the Russo brothers' AGBO, Cinestar, and Chopra's own Purple Pebble Pictures. The star is also one of the producers. It screened at the TCL Chinese Theatre on 17 February 2026 and landed on Prime Video eight days later. Running time 101 minutes. The swordplay and ship work stay inside the genre template; what distinguishes the film is casting the pirate as a mother. Who it is for: viewers who want old-fashioned swashbuckling and Chopra in action. Who it is not for: anyone expecting the genre to be renewed; this walks a familiar road.
