What The Brutes Is About
It begins on the edge of a large city, at a go kart track. Mike and Werner see Alice and her friends there. The interest of both of them settles on Alice. Mike manages to separate her from the group and get her into the car. The arrangement had been to spend the night at a lake. But the car does not take the road to the lake; it goes to a lonely gravel pit. Alice understands too late that the others will not be coming. What the film is about is the violence that follows and the way it was planned. The work handles that in the shape of a thriller. Helga Anders and Klaus Löwitsch appear in Roger Fritz’s German film of 1970.
