The Child Prodigy

Andre Mathieu is playing the piano at six. He says he hears the sounds inside his head. He begins composing at an early age. His concerts are soon being talked about. He appears in halls in London, New York and Paris. They call him the little Canadian Mozart. Those around him expect great things. But as the years pass things change. The attention he had as a child is not there when he grows up. He keeps composing and gets little back for it. His life becomes hard. The account shows the rise and the fall together. Patrick Drolet and Marc Labreche take the leads, with Macha Grenon and Lothaire Bluteau also in the cast, in Luc Dionne’s Canadian film of 2010.
