What The Confidence Man JP - Episode of the Princess - Is About
The professional con artists Dako, Boku-chan and Richard go to the Malaysian island of Langkawi for a new job. Their target is the Fuu family. Raymond Fuu, who headed it, has died and left an inheritance of unimaginable size behind. The three of them put together a plan to get hold of it. But others are after the same inheritance. Directed by Akira Tanaka, the film comes out of the television series of the same name and is one of the series' cinema instalments. The method is plain: the audience is conned too, and who was fooling whom only becomes clear at the very end. The telling is fast, colourful and rests entirely on the game of the plot. Masami Nagasawa plays Dako. It can be watched without knowing the series, though some of the jokes belong to it.
