Yeung Wai What The Contract Is About
Chih-Wen is a performer trapped inside an eight-year contract with a television studio that has put him on air exactly once. When a rival network offers him something better, the only obstacle left is the piece of paper itself, so he sets out to steal it with the help of his inventor-minded brother and a magician friend. Written and directed by Michael Hui, who stars alongside his two brothers, it is one of the smoothest Hong Kong comedies of the seventies. It took close to seven point eight million Hong Kong dollars at the box office and earned three Golden Horse nominations.
