What The Dandelions Is About

France in the eighties. Rachel is nine, the only daughter of a mother whose love is a little too much, and school feels like an escape to her, so much so that she sleeps with her satchel on. Valerie, newly arrived in the class, is afraid of nothing and rearranges Rachel's world completely. Carine Tardieu tells childhood from inside it, so we see adult anxiety at a child's height. Agnes Jaoui and Denis Podalydes play the parents and Isabella Rossellini another face of the adult world. Its French title is Du vent dans mes mollets, unrelated to the English one.
