What The Dream Team Is About
Four patients from a psychiatric unit are taken to a ballgame by their doctor, and when something happens to him on the way the four are left loose in New York. The comedy is not built on mocking them: each has his own logic and the city behaves more absurdly than any of them. Michael Keaton's speed carries it. Its handling of mental illness is coarse in places by current standards, though it never diminishes these men and gives each of them a moment of competence.
