The Flame

George McAllister is the black sheep of a wealthy family. He has already squandered his share of the inheritance. His half brother Barry has been supporting him. But George lives in jealousy and resentment over it. Then he works out a plan. He gets his girlfriend, Carlotta Duval, a job as Barry’s nurse. Under the plan Carlotta is to marry him. Barry is then to die and the money to pass to her. The last step is for Carlotta to marry George. The account runs drama and crime together. John Carroll and Vera Ralston take the leads, with Broderick Crawford also in the cast, in John H. Auer’s American film of 1947.
