What The Jodorowsky Constellation Is About
Louis Mouchet’s documentary lets Alejandro Jodorowsky talk his way through his own life across a long interview: El Topo, The Holy Mountain and Santa Sangre, the Panic Movement he co-founded in Paris with Fernando Arrabal, his years as a mime, the Incal comics he made with Jean Giraud, who signed himself Moebius, his tarot readings and the method he calls psychomagic. Marcel Marceau, Arrabal, Peter Gabriel and Giraud come before the camera to describe what they did with him. The strangest part is the ending: Jodorowsky performs a psychomagic session on the director himself, which makes Mouchet both observer and subject.
