On the impersonator circuit in Buenos Aires, Elvis Gutiérrez is a star; by day he works a factory job with no way out, and his ex-wife worries about what his obsession is doing to their small daughter, Lisa Marie. He belongs more to the figure he performs than to his family, and pulls further away from reality until an accident cuts across all of it and leaves him facing what he is actually responsible for. In Armando Bo’s first feature the lead is played by John McInerny, an Argentine musician who really does work as an Elvis impersonator. It premiered at Sundance and won best film in Horizontes Latinos at San Sebastián.
