The Last Kiss

A man turning thirty panics when his girlfriend tells him she is pregnant and starts pursuing an eighteen year old. Each of his friends is working on an escape of his own. The film does not defend these men, but it does not stop explaining them either; its real attention goes to the women, and the thread in which the mother settles accounts with her own marriage is its best. The camera is constantly moving and the talk overlaps. Gabriele Muccino directed. It was widely seen in Italy and remade in America. Who it's for: those who like Italian drama about the crisis at thirty. Who it's not for: viewers who need to like the characters; the film does not try to make anyone likeable.
