What The Last Lap at Monza Is About
Urke spent seven years in prison. What put him inside was a robbery. Now he has been released. He returns to Belgrade and tries to set up a life. But things outside are not as they were. He does not trust the people around him. He was always at odds with the system as well. He tries to work out his own idea of what is right. That stance pulls him back into conflict. His old acquaintances do not leave him alone. The reckonings of the city turn up at his door. Dragan Nikolić and Vesna Stanojević take the leads, with Danilo Stojković also in the cast, in Aleksandar Bošković’s Yugoslav film of 1989.
