The Longest Night in Shanghai

Naoki is a Japanese make up artist. He is known in his field. He comes to Shanghai for work. But he is not content with his own life. One night he loses his way in the city. He gets into a taxi. The driver is called Lin Xi and she is a woman. Her way of talking is blunt and direct. The two of them cannot find a common language. Even so they drive around together all night. The streets of Shanghai pass by one after another. The distance between them slowly closes. By morning each of them looks at their own life differently. Vicky Zhao Wei and Masahiro Motoki take the leads in Zhang Yibai’s Chinese and Japanese coproduction of 2007.
