What The Man Nobody Knew: In Search of My Father, CIA Spymaster William Colby Is About
The documentary is about William Colby, the former director of the CIA. The person who made it is his son, Carl Colby. The account runs through the eyes of the son and of Colby’s wife. For many years Colby stood at the centre of the agency’s most secret work. He carried out the orders he was given without questioning them. But at one point that changed. The Nixon administration wanted him to keep the agency’s past abuses from Congress. Colby refused. The film tries to explain why he did not obey that once. Seymour Hersh and Zbigniew Brzezinski also speak in the hundred and four minute American documentary of 2011.
