The Man of the Crowd

Juvenal drives a metro train in Belo Horizonte; Margo works as a station controller. Both live in complete solitude, each in a particular way. Juvenal refuses to be alone and walks the streets of the city, taking comfort in mixing with the anonymous crowd. Margo looks for an answer on social networks, tries to build a lasting tie with real people and stops halfway every time. The two lives run side by side without ever touching, and the film keeps them both under the same city. The film gives the loneliness inside a crowd through silence rather than noise. Paulo Andre and Silvia Lourenco appear in the ninety five minute Brazilian film by Marcelo Gomes and Cao Guimaraes, completed in 2013.
