What The Man Who Bought The Moon Is About
American intelligence tips off the Italians: someone in Sardinia is claiming ownership of the moon, and as the country that got there first, Washington does not take this kindly. Two Italian agents assign a soldier who hides his Sardinian origins behind the name Kevin Pirelli and a Milanese accent. His job is to investigate the island, but first he has to relearn the identity he disowned. The one-line summary in our record says none of this; the film is a half poetic, half farcical comedy about a man returning to his own culture.
