What The Man with the Answers Is About
Victoras used to be a championship diver. Now he works in a factory on the Greek coast and lives with his medals and his grandmother. A phone call from Germany puts him on the road. On the ferry to Italy he meets Mathias: a hitchhiker, unattached, talkative, and at ease in a way Victoras has never managed. The journey continues in one car. It is a road movie that crosses the length of Europe, and the distance that matters is the one between the two men. Nobody arrives at a large answer; they end up slightly less alone. Stelios Kammitsis directs. Eighty minutes, calm, sparing with dialogue, told largely in looks.
