Mariano Concha, a civil servant who puts football ahead of everything else, watches the Colombian national side take a draw against Argentina and immediately starts doing whatever it takes to get to the decisive return match in Bogotá against the same team. He pushes his duties aside, risks a budget that was already thin, and makes reaching the stadium his only aim, and then an unexpected event changes the whole plan. Jorge Echeverri’s eighty nine minute Colombian film is built as a dark comedy, with a screenplay by Luis Felipe Salamanca and Dago García adapted from a story by the journalist Jorge Luis Varela. Enrique Carriazo, Robinson Díaz and Sandra Reyes star, and it opened on 15 June 2001.
