What Weekend Rebels Is About
Jason is ten and autistic; crowds, noise and unexpected changes are very hard for him. He makes a decision anyway: he will pick a football team to support, and not at random. By criteria he sets himself, he wants to see every club in Germany live in the stadium, whatever division they play in. His father starts taking him to a match every weekend. It is a real father and son; the father wrote what happened into a book. The film presents autism as neither a superpower nor a tragedy, and shows how a daily life gets built.
