Vince was once in a chart-topping pop group; now he plays pavement gigs alone in London that nobody listens to, still believing the old days will return. One day, while he is at his keyboard, an autistic young man named Stevie comes and joins the rhythm on drums, and suddenly something that actually works appears. Eddie Sternberg grew the film out of his own short. It does not try to fix either side: Vince attempts to use the boy for his own comeback and the film does not look away from that. Leo Long, who plays Stevie, is autistic and plays the drums himself. Ed Skrein is Vince. It went out on Netflix. Who it is for: viewers who like small-scale British drama built around music. Who it is not for: anyone looking for a new story, since it follows the template.
