The film follows a television director. He is making a series about the history of cinema. At the same time he is wrestling with the script of his own feature. The writing will not move forward. A new assignment comes to him. A television relay station is to be built in the Zahedan region. He is asked to oversee the installation. He had already engaged Turkmen villagers for his film. He had chosen his location as well. His wife wants him to turn the assignment down. She is writing a doctoral thesis on the Mongol invasion. One night, working on the series, he drifts into a daydream. The history of cinema and the Mongol invasion fold into each other. His own film idea and the desert assignment mix in too. The film ties those layers together. Parviz Kimiavi and Fahimeh Rastkar appear in the ninety two minute film, an Iranian production Parviz Kimiavi finished in 1973.
