The Olsen Gang and Dynamite-Harry

A foreign gang pulls off a large bank robbery, and suspicion lands straight on the Olsen Gang. The three of them get away and decide the only way to clear themselves is to find the real robbers first. So a chase with two quarries begins: the police are after the Olsen Gang, and the Olsen Gang are after the actual criminals. The plan falls apart at the last second every time, and then gets rebuilt. This is one of the Norwegian adaptations of the Olsen Gang series, which began in Denmark. Dynamite Harry, played by Harald Heide-Steen Jr., joins the Norwegian films here for the first time, and the character caught on so well that he came back in later entries and even ended up in some of their titles. Ove Kant's film shows why the good-hearted-criminal comedy stayed loved in Scandinavia for decades.
