The Orator

Saili lives in the islands of Samoa. His village is remote and holds to tradition. He is small in stature and humble. He lives a simple life with his wife and daughter. He has chosen to keep to himself. But one day that order breaks. His land and his family come under threat. Saili has to protect them. For that he must first face his own fears. Then he must claim the right to speak. Speaking in the village is a matter of standing. The account is built on courage, forgiveness and love. Fa’afiaula Sanote and Tausili Pushparaj take the leads in Tusi Tamasese’s New Zealand and Samoan coproduction of 2011.
