The Outsider

Michael Flaherty is a young American. He served in Vietnam. His family is of Irish descent. His grandfather Seamus always told him about the old country. One day Michael goes to Belfast. His aim is to join his grandfather’s cause. But he is not received as he expected. Nobody trusts him. At every step he is made to feel a stranger. Then something worse comes out. The organisation wants to use him for a plan. His death is to be blamed on the British forces. That way money will be raised in America. Craig Wasson and Sterling Hayden take the leads in Tony Luraschi’s American film of 1979.
