The Painting Sellers

Three people are out on the road. The car is old and falling apart. The weather is freezing. What they are selling is paintings. Nobody is buying paintings. They go from door to door. Christmas is coming. Everyone else has gone home. They are still travelling. As the money fails to come, the tension rises. There is another matter as well. A friendship is forming between them. They do not know what to do with it. The film is set in a small town. It was Juho Kuosmanen’s graduation film. It won first prize in the Cinéfondation at Cannes in 2010. Teppo Manner and Auli Mantila appear in it, a Finnish production finished in 2010.
