The Racket

Vas is a young police officer. He is given a hard assignment. He is to get inside a smuggling ring. The ring works in Bulgaria and reaches abroad. Vas will pass as a man just out of prison. That way he is taken in by the circle. Drugs are part of the business. Everyone along the chain keeps a watch on everyone else. Nobody fully trusts anybody. An elderly man who seems harmless turns up. The man is in fact one of those running it. To win their trust Vas has to take risks. Around then he meets a woman. She is called Sunny and she is inside the ring as well. Ivan Ivanov and Vania Tzvetkova take the leads in Nikola Rudarov’s Bulgarian film of 1982.
