The Revelation of the Pyramids

The documentary starts at the pyramids of Giza and goes on to Peru, Mexico, China and Easter Island. Its argument is that these structures are not independent of one another, that they come from a single source holding the same knowledge, and that a message is buried in them through their measurements. According to the film that message is left over from an advanced civilisation that lived before ours and was destroyed in a cyclical catastrophe, one that will come round again. Patrice Pooyard directs the French documentary; a hundred and two minutes. He wrote it with Jacques Grimault, and the thesis it rests on is Grimault's unpublished work. Archaeologists and Egyptologists rejected the film: they said it ignores margins of measurement error, uses its data selectively, and frames claims so that they cannot be falsified. Who built the pyramids, and how, is not an open question in archaeology.
