What The Secret of an Old Attic Is About
Two boys go rummaging through an old attic during the summer holiday. There they find something they were not expecting: a cannon that defeats gravity. The find turns the holiday into an adventure of an entirely different kind. The film keeps its science fiction element at the scale of children rather than building a large invention on it. The account stays close to the language of children’s books. It is adapted from a children’s book. The hundred and one minutes are given to a single holiday. Mario Mirković and Jiří Guryča take the leads, with Boris Dvornik also in the cast. Vladimir Tadej’s Yugoslav film was completed in 1984.
