The Unfortunate Bridegroom

The film is set in a small Czech town. A complaint is made in the town. The allegation is one of rape. Two policemen carry out the investigation. Both of them are the sort who cannot do the job. The investigation goes off the rails because of that. One of the suspects is due to be married that day. But he is taken into custody during the day. The wedding and the police station fall on the same day. The account is built on that collision. The film is put together as a comedy. The work starts out from a real event. Iva Janžurová and Vladimír Pucholt take the leads, with Jan Vostrčil and František Filipovský also in the cast, in Jiří Krejčík’s Czechoslovak film of 1967.
