The Unseen Sister

Qiao Yan was born in a border town in southwest China. She worked for a long time to get out of it. In the end she became a well known actress. From outside she has a glittering life. She feels a constant pressure on her, though. She tells nobody where that pressure comes from. One day a letter reaches her. Who wrote it is not clear. The words inside it carry a threat. In those same days her sister turns up. The two of them had not seen each other for a long time. The sister’s arrival does not look like chance. Something left in the past is coming back. Zhao Liying and Xin Zhilei appear in the hundred and twelve minute film, a Chinese production Midi Z finished in 2024.
