The Wind Is Whistling Under Their Feet

The years are the eighteen thirties and the place is Hungary. There is an outlaw called Farkos Csapó Gyurka. His name has passed into legend. He escapes from prison and returns to the plain. The place he returns to is the Great Hungarian Plain. He has two things in mind. One is to settle accounts with those who betrayed him. The other is to take back his hold over the puszta. The poor herdsmen of the region hide him. To them the outlaw is a hero. Against him, though, stands a determined peace officer. What that man wants is to bring modern law to this land. The chase runs the length of the plain. The film was built as a Hungarian western. Djoko Rosic and István Bujtor appear in the ninety minute film, a Hungarian production György Szomjas finished in 1976.
