This Is Us

Jerry J. White III's 2017 American film follows a young woman who ends her relationship. She decides to leave and then begins reliving the moments they shared. The memories come out of order and each time she tries to change something. The film gives this without setting rules for time travel; the narrative slowly brings her to accept that the past cannot be corrected. The production is very small and the cast unknown. The tone is sad and the running time short. Who it's for: those who like small independent films about relationships. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a technically polished production; the film is bounded by its means.
