What Thomas & Friends: Blue Mountain Mystery Is About
When things go wrong at the Blue Mountain Quarry, Thomas is sent to help the narrow gauge engines. Shunting and hauling, he catches sight of a small engine trying to keep out of view, and nobody will tell him who it is. Thomas sets out to find the truth and discovers that it is harder to face than he expected, because a mistake he made years ago is sitting in the middle of it. The hidden engine is called Luke, and there is a real chance he will be sent away from Sodor for good. Greg Tiernan directed from a script by Sharon Miller, and it was the only Nitrogen Studios special to bring the narrow gauge engines together in CGI, with Skarloey, Rheneas, Rusty, Sir Handel and Peter Sam all on screen at once. It played in cinemas for two days at the start of September 2012.
