What Thommanum Makkalum Is About
Thomman, who has lived by stealing, and his two sons decide to give it up and earn an honest living; they buy a lorry and start hauling freight. When the lorry breaks down they are stranded in a town they do not know and land in the middle of its quarrels, grudges and local scores. Making a new name among people who know nothing of your past turns out to be harder than going back to the old work. The script was written by Benny P. Nayarambalam and the film produced by Lal, who also plays one of the sons. Mammootty, Rajan P. Dev and Lal play the father and sons in Shafi’s hundred and thirty minute Malayalam film, which was later remade in Tamil and in Kannada. It was completed in 2005.
