Three Reservists

The year is 1945. Three Bulgarian soldiers are on the front in Hungary. All three come from the reserve. They are not prepared for war at all. They have no wish to join the fighting. Neither their look nor their manner is soldierly. Their commander thinks of sending them home to begin with. What they see at the front changes their attitude. The suffering around them shakes all three. Without noticing it they begin to act bravely. In the end they are counted as heroes. The film tells a war in the register of comedy. Behind the comic scenes lies heavy ground. The relation between the three men holds the centre. Nikola Anastasov and Kiril Gospodinov appear in the ninety seven minute film, a Bulgarian production Zako Heskiya finished in 1971.
