Tic Tac

In the course of one day the paths of people who do not know each other cross. Nobody knows what the others are going through, but a small decision each of them takes that day changes somebody else's life. By the time the night ends none of them is where they started. Daniel Alfredson's film uses a multi-strand structure; the stories are tied together by coincidence and the tie only becomes visible at the end. The telling puts no character at the centre and keeps the same distance from all of them. Its subject is how decisive chance can be and how little a person controls their own life. It is an example of the thriller strain in Swedish cinema in the nineties. Tuva Novotny is in the cast.
