Two Girls from Egypt

Hannan and Dalia are cousins. Both are in their early thirties. They come from middle class families. Both are educated and both have jobs. But there is only one question around them. When will they marry. Being unmarried is brought up to them constantly. In their society a woman is expected to enter a man’s household. The two of them live under that pressure every day. Finding work is not easy either. Corruption is part of the account as well. In daily life things keep going wrong. Zeina and Saba Mubarak take the leads, with Tarek Lotfy also in the cast, in Mohamed Amin’s Egyptian film of 2010.
