Upstarts

Three college graduates start a company together. Kapil, Vinay and Yash each come from a different small town. The stories coming out of the startup world pull them in. Their idea is to get emergency medicine to the patients who need it. They begin in a small town. They want to make money and to be useful at the same time. At the start those two aims point the same way. As the business grows, investors and numbers enter the picture. Decisions begin to follow the spreadsheet rather than the friendship. The bond between the three of them frays. The question of who gave up what lands on the table. The film is about the balance between success and integrity. It looks at the startup fever in India from the inside. It neither celebrates its characters nor sneers at them. In the end each of them has to account for himself. Priyanshu Painyuli and Shadab Kamal appear in the hundred and twelve minute film, an Indian production Udai Singh Pawar finished in 2019.
