Padmakumar M's 2026 Malayalam film follows Ajeeb, serving his probation as a sub-inspector in Kannur. What he sees at the station is not what he expected. The film states that it draws on real events. The narrative takes up the hierarchy inside the force and what happens in custody; how far a young officer can object becomes the real question. Roshan Mathew leads. The tone is tense; the violence is limited but its effect carries. The production is mid-scale. Who it's for: viewers of Malayalam crime films and films critical of institutions. Who it's not for: viewers for whom violence in custody would be difficult.
