What Villain Is About
Shiva, a bus conductor, robs people who have grown rich on corruption and passes the money to an organisation that supports disabled people. To avoid being caught and tried he takes on the identity of his twin brother, who is disabled, and the trick keeps him out of suspicion. But moving between two identities pulls in both his family and the woman he loves, and the cost of the lie grows. In K. S. Ravikumar’s hundred and fifty seven minute Tamil film, Ajith Kumar plays both brothers, with Meena, Kiran Rathod and Karunas in the cast. It was released in 2002 and is one of the Tamil examples of the double role carried by a single actor.
