C. and Nike are seventeen, pass themselves off as twenty, and make a wager with themselves: they will stay awake as long as they can without using anything at all. They lay in supplies, cover the windows and get rid of the clocks; the point is to lose time and to get out of the tightness of the suburbs. When Nike’s father turns up at the flat the plan falls apart and the two of them end up in the dark corners of the city on a cold night. Just as they are about to give up they meet Jesco, and the trip that follows puts their friendship at risk too. Jana McKinnon and Alli Neumann appear in Kim Frank’s seventy five minute production, completed in 2018.
