What Warsaw Bridge Is About

Three people stand at the centre of the film. One is a woman who teaches at a university. One is a writer and one is an orchestra conductor. The three come together at a grand literary reception. The writer has won a prize that day. He won it with his book called Warsaw Bridge. Journalists put questions to him. But when he is asked to sum up his book he cannot. Nothing is left but to read it. There is also a puzzle inside the account. The body of a diver is found in a burnt forest. That matter appears at the start of the film and again at the end. The account moves in pieces. Carme Elias and Jordi Dauder take the leads, with Josep Maria Pou also in the cast, in Pere Portabella’s Spanish film of 1990.
