We Will Dance Again

The documentary is about the morning of the seventh of October 2023. An open air music festival was going on in the Negev desert that morning. It was called the Nova festival. There were thousands of people on the site. The Hamas attack reached it too. Within a few hours the festival had become something else entirely. More than four hundred people were killed on that site that day. Many others were taken. The film builds the day out of the accounts of survivors. More than a dozen of them speak. Footage they filmed on their phones as they fled is used. So is footage from the attackers’ own cameras. The account is built entirely from the side of the people at the festival. It does not go into the wider history of the conflict. That is worth knowing before watching. The ninety one minute documentary is an Israeli, British and American co-production Yariv Mozer finished in 2024.
