What White Palace Is About
Max, an advertising man in his twenties, is still grieving a wife who died young. One night he meets Nora, fifteen years older and working as a waitress in a diner, and the attraction is immediate. But they come from opposite ends of the city, and the differences of class, age and circle settle slowly over the relationship, since Max cannot hide Nora from his own world forever. Luis Mandoki refuses to separate the romance from the question of class. Susan Sarandon and James Spader lead, with Kathy Bates in the cast.
