What Willy the 1st Is About
Willy is fifty and has never lived anywhere except his parents' house, always alongside his twin brother. When the brother dies, Willy makes the first decision of his life on his own: he will move out, rent a flat, buy a moped and make friends. He arrives in a small French town with that list and nothing else. Four people directed the film together: the brothers Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma, Marielle Gautier and Hugo P. Thomas. Daniel Vannet plays Willy, and the film never once invites the audience to laugh at him for being coarse or slow. It takes him seriously.
