Woman Chases Man

Virginia Travis is an architect and she is out of work. She is talented and has no money. B. J. Nolan is a man with the spirit of an inventor. He has a housing project in hand and he wants to build it. His money, though, has run out. All of the money is with his son Kenneth. Kenneth is a cautious millionaire and will not fund his father. Virginia goes to the older man looking for work. She tells him she can talk Kenneth round. B. J. takes her up on the offer. The woman starts laying her plan. It is not an honest plan. It runs on a series of tricks and lies. Kenneth’s fiancee and the people around her are in on something too. What they want is to get at the fortune. Virginia’s own scheme, meanwhile, arrives somewhere she did not expect. Miriam Hopkins and Joel McCrea appear in the seventy one minute film, an American production John G. Blystone finished in 1937.
